Quality Inspector Essential duties:
Inspect product dimensional and aesthetics to established standards and drawing requirements using calipers, micrometers, visual-aides
Maintain records of inspection results using Excel database
Perform 1st level package and labeling of completed product for shipment/inventory
Work with Shipping and Production departments to ensure inspection is completed in a timely manner to daily shipping schedule.
Assist Production with drawing/product in process as necessary
Perform incoming inspection of raw materials as needed
Ability to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings in English
Ability to use hand measurement tools such as calipers, Vernier, micrometer, tape-measure, etc.
Must be able to effectively understand and communicate process/product requirements and have the ability to interface with all departments
Solid organizational and good record keeping skills
Solid math skills
Ability to lift up to 20lbs repetitively
Ability to stand for 2 or more hours
Ability to work within a manufacturing environment
Basic computer skills
Must be fluent in English, spoken, written and reading.
High school diploma or its equivalent.
Understands the role of Quality in a manufacturing organization and a Quality Operating System, Automotive experience preferred.
Audit compliance with ISO 9001 standard
Familiar with Microsoft Office basics such as Excel, Word, Outlook (email)
3-5 years’ experience in manufacturing environment, with one or more years involved with inspection.
