Requirements: 

  • Use mechanical measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, scales, etc.). 
  • Read product drawings and measure the product according to the drawing. 
  • Use Micro Soft Excel and Word programs. 
  • Read and write English and have basic math skills. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 
• Perform 1st piece, in-process, and final inspection of parts to ensure all work is done by print and other customer specifications. 
• Accurately record all test data and complete test reports before shipments. 
• Prepare inspection/test reports and maintain the QA/QC files related to the assignment. 
• Support Production in Identifying and documenting non-conforming products. 
• Be flexible, available, and willing to help out in any area within the company on an “as needed” basis. 
 
Experience: Minimum 1-year experience in quality inspection utilizing measurement tools and techniques. Experience in injection and blow molding is desirable. 

 
Educational and Experience Requirements: 

  • High school education or GED is required. 
  • 2-3 years’ experience within a production environment 
  • Proficient level of English – Verbal & Written 
  • Must have basic math skills. 
  • Must be attentive to detail. 
  • Excellent manual dexterity. 
  • Must be able to stand for long periods and perform repetitive manual tasks with frequent rotations. 
  • Must be able to comprehend and follow all job procedures and safety protocols. 

Essential Skills and Attitudes Required: 

  • Basic Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gages, Microscopes, etc. 
  • Basic drawing understanding of drawings 
  • Basic understanding of Calibration 
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with a diverse population 
  • Excellent organizational skills 
  • Possess interpersonal and customer service skills 
  • Thrive in a fast-paced setting 
  • Prioritize work efficiently and effectively 
  • Maintain composure in stressful situations 
  • Dependable and punctual 
  • Maintains a high level of quality and quantity of work 
  • Accurate with numbers and counting 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Position involves lifting to 50 pounds, bending, squatting, reaching, and using measuring devices involving fine hand motion and a high degree of visual acuity.
  • Due to the nature of the position and the level of noise, safety glasses and other PPE will be required.
