Job Description: 

Supervise plant personnel to ensure work is completed to schedule.  Monitor operator performance regarding efficiency, productivity, scrap and on time delivery.  Document preventive maintenance and monitor machine performance. Ensure efficient operations so quality is maintained for complete customer satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Must set example in all actions of work, discipline, attendance, quality and performance. 

  • Assign operator job responsibilities. 

  • Monitor and verify the operators are performing their jobs properly. 

  • Responsible for training Manufacturing Operators. 

  • May be required to perform the duties of a Manufacturing Operator, Material Handler if necessary. 

  • Assist tool room personnel as needed. 

  • Set up and startup of production jobs to meet production schedule if needed. 

  • Submit parts to the Quality Department for approval. 

  • Ensure all shift paperwork is completed as required, sign off on paperwork verifying it is complete and correct.  

Physical Requirements: 

  • Standing, bending, walking, stooping and lifting during work hours. 
  • Must possess strong visual acuity and hand-eye coordination. 
  • Must be able to lift and move objects with a maximum weight of 50 pounds. 
  • Must be able to work in a drug free and alcohol-free environment.                                                           
  • Must have the ability to be certified to use powered lifts. (Powered pallet jack, forklift, and mold set lift)                       


  • Education/Training: High School diploma or equivalent. 

  • Work experience – 2 years’ past proficiency in a manufacturing operator position preferably in the plastics industry.                                                                                                                                   

  • Read, write and speak English language. 

  • Must demonstrate leadership abilities. 

  • Any acceptable combination of education, training and experience, which provides the required skills and abilities.
