Essential Job Duties:

  • Analyzes and solves technical maintenance problems. 
  • Maintenance and assembly of in-house production machinery.
  • Performs mechanical, electrical and instrument repair, inspection and construction assembly of equipment. 
  • Responsible for preventative maintenance activities.
  • Data collection and reporting.
  • Maintenance of spare parts inventories and other related duties.
  • May monitor or plan jobs completed by outside contractors.
  • Solid blueprint reading skills and ability to understand complex machine drawings, complex assembly prints, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics & wiring diagrams.  
  • Knowledge of maintenance and safety procedures.  
  • Ability to use basic hand and measuring tools, both mechanical and electrical. 
  • Basic metal machining knowledge preferred for using of milling machines and lathes.  
  • Be a team player, self-starter who can follow written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision. 
  • Allen Bradley and Siemens software experience, preferred
  • Basic reading, math, computer, and measurement skills required. Microsoft Word & Excel.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing principles and procedures.
  • Communicate well with others.  
  • Ability to oversee multiple priorities. 
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager

Educational and Experience Requirements:

  • 4 years of progressive maintenance experience OR technical degree AND 2 years of experience
  • Must be knowledgeable of OSHA safety requirements, especially those related to electrical and mechanical operations and components.
  • Must have a good understanding of plant-wide functions such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, hydraulic, etc.  Be able to troubleshoot complex machinery.
  • Must have basic welding skills.  

Essential Skills and Attitudes Required:

  • Must be knowledgeable of OSHA safety requirements, especially those related to electrical and mechanical operations and components.
  • Must be able to work 40 hours per week, plus overtime, with reliable and consistent attendance.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
  • Must have good communication skills, with the ability to carry out written and verbal instruction. Ability to read, write and understand English.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to perform physical tasks, lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Sit
  • Use hands to type, finger, handle, or feel
  • Talk and hear
  • Stand, walk and reach with hands and arms
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs; anything over that requires a two-person lift, or other lifting equipment
  • Specific vision requirements include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and adjusting focus
