                                 is recruiting for a Case Sealer-  Finishing

PRINCIPAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Must be at job site ready to start work at the start of the shift. 

  • Stages cases for next job on gluer during their make readies. 

  • Supply pads and dividers as needed for the job. 

  • Creates labels for cases from information on job bag. 

  • Runs and maintains case sealer equipment, including hand tapers. 

  • Erects packing cases for gluers, per job bag. 

  • Stacks finished cases properly onto the specified pallets following customer specifications and stacking patterns. 

  • Assures the correct labels are applied to the finished cases. 

  • Must weigh first case to ensure it does not exceed customer specifications. 

  • Coordinates with operators at the completion of a job to have all material accounted for.  Any used material must be stored away in its’ proper location. 

  • Makes sure job was completed to required count. 

  • Assists other Case Sealers when needed. 

  • Assists in training new and temporary employees to fill in. 

  • Rotates breaks to keep folder/gluers running continuously. 

  • Keeps track of corrugated. 

  • Keep area clean and organized. Empty trash bins, sweep around the gluers, pick up empty pallets around gluing department and take them to the proper location. 

  • Performs other job duties as assigned by management or lead person. 

  • Consistently attentive to quality throughout manufacturing process. 

PRINCIPAL SKILLS AND FUNCTIONS (5+):   

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a high level of initiative and flexibility. 

  • Capable of understanding technical customer requirements. 

  • Ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.  

  • Constantly produces high quality work and maintain established production standards. 

JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

  • High school education or GED preferred. 

  • Proficient level of English – Verbal & Written. 

  • Ability to read and understand a Job Bag. 

  • Must have basic math skills and be able to read a measuring tape. 

  • Must have basic computer skills. 

  • Must be attentive to detail. 

  • Excellent manual dexterity. 

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive manual tasks with frequent rotations. 

  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
